Carmelo Pomodoro
Carmelo Pomodoro was a talented young designer who was taken by AIDS in 1992. I did PR for Carmelo which consisted of putting together his fashion shows and maintaining relationships with all the magazine editors. This season's show was a fun one that was inspired by Barbie. I wore a look from the show to the Circus event we were co-chairing for the Children's Defense Fund (Marian Wright Edelman continues to inspire today).
Everyone always asks, "WHAT are you wearing?"
