I found this Elizabeth and James dress at Last Call at Neiman Marcus this month. No it is not the store named after the famous sale but Neiman Marcus's last markdown before they send it out at the end of the season. It used to be a array of sale items that were consolidated from all the stores so you were almost always bound to find something fabulous. I still like it but it is not what it used to be.
Elizabeth and James is Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen's contemporary line they started in 2007. The Row is their designer line that has been hugely successful. This dress with it's exaggerated dolman sleeves is quite dramatic. You could wear it to a luncheon or a cocktail party or even over skinny jeans to run around town and be very fashion forward especially in the Midwest.
The location for this shoot was the iconic Great Hall of Union Station in Chicago. You can see a peek of the skylight in the first photo that was recently renovated in 2017. Chicago sure has some spectacular interior spaces and exterior for that matter.
